The Royal Ascot similar to our Kentucky Derby. The term dates back to 1823 for Ladies Day. The Royal Ascot is Englands favorite annual horse racing event. An Anonymous poet described the women as looking like angels, sweetly divine. This time was known to give women traditionally free or discounted tickets. Obviously this grew into other general items and discounts. Traditionally it was on Thursday, but since most of our ladies work, we’ve made Sunday our Ladies Day for our special ladies in the community.
